A bit about Yin
I'm an all-around web expert and spent 19+ years in web engineering, user experience & product development.
I'm based in Southern California by way of the east coast. I grew up in my family's restaurants in New Jersey, studied hotel management in Boston, then rediscovered my joy of building things through the New York tech and startup community where I immersed myself for many years.
You can call me a Full-Stack Engineer, Product Strategist, or simply a web expert. I'm a technical and product leader building interactive, engaging experiences on the web. I'm currently favoring Remix, a React framework, and I've emerged from many years as a Ruby on Rails developer.
I design; I code; I market; I write content; I've also done customer support in my time as a startup founder. From designing, building, launching, and scaling extensive web-based software to online shops to marketing websites, my expertise runs the gamut of the entire web spectrum.
With 19+ years of web expertise, I have been relied-upon by organizations of all types and sizes to lead their web marketing projects and online commerce experiences.
I use my technical skills to make a positive impact on communities I care about. Organizations I work with include mental-health-focused startups and businesses, businesses and non-profits supporting the LGBTQIA+ community, and athletics and women-centered initiatives.
Coding brings me joy. I love continuously evolving my programming skills and learning new approaches to the ever changing web landscape. I enjoy digging into how things work, and in web technology, coding allows me to accomplish the "knowing" of how designs, interactions, and animations came to be.
I see every project through from design to launch and beyond. For all the organizations I work with, I also offer ongoing maintenance and support, whether hourly or at a set monthly rate.
I have an incredible wife and a spunky, spirited kid, and every moment with them is a joy. I love hiking, camping, biking, and going to the park to kick, throw, or hit a ball around — lots of movement throughout my days.
